Help for Alexis recovery from accidental shooting

Hi my name is Jessica, I am the mom of Alexis. Alexis was involved in a accidental shooting, she was shot in her lower abdominal area. The bullet went through and through. The surgeon said there was a hole in her small intestines so he cut out a chunk and was able to reattach them, there was also 2 holes in her colon so he had to remove part of her colon luckily he was able to reattach her colon and intestines so she does not have to have a colostomy bag, there was also 2 holes in the abdomen he repaired.

Lex lives in Florida by herself and has a lengthy road to recovery. She is able to take fmla from her job but that doesn't come with pay, her boss is checking to see if she has short or long term disability but we are not sure on that either. Everything is still up in the air on what care she will need when she leaves the hospital, possibly will need to go to a rehab center due to her living on the 3rd floor.

We are able to help her a little financially but it won't be enough to help keep her afloat and I hate to see her worry about the financial part when she needs to just focus on healing. Anything she receives will be put towards whatever she may need, bills or medical.
