Help for Alicia Parrott after devastating accident
Alicia Parrott is my super smart and funny sister. Her job involved mentoring at-risk youth in Southern AZ. Over the past year she began working on her Masters degree from NAU for Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Project Management. She had also recently put a deposit down on an apartment lease to move out of my parents home.
Unfortunately all these great things she had going for her came to a tragic and abrupt end on February 7, 2021. That night my sister was a passenger in an off-road vehicle accident that overturned multiple times.
She sustained some severe injuries:
-Moderate to Severe Traumatic Brain Injury
- Facial Fractures
- Broken hand
-Many serious bruises
She is currently dealing with all sorts of neurological side effects from the TBI.
-She cannot walk without assistance of a walker or another person
-Speech impediment
-Cognitive issues
-Personality changes
-Extra sensitive to light and sound
Since the accident her and my parents have been constantly going to the doctor and racking up lots medical Bill not covered by normal insurance. On top of all of this she also lost her job.
Needless to say this has become not only an emotional drain but a substantial financial drain on both Alicia and my parents.
