Help for Amber, one of our community heroes!

One of our community members, Amber Joslin, suffered from a horrible dog bite from an animal that she was trying to help on Tuesday April 16th. The dog bite occurred on her lip causing a portion of her lip to be detached. She had to have emergency plastic surgery in Mexicali and her surgeon had to complete a skin graft from another part of her mouth in order to patch up her lip and return it to normalcy. She also sustained a black eye and some puncture wounds to the lower part of her jaw. She is looking at a 3 month recovery, IF there are no further complications. She is currently on a variety of antibiotics that leave her feeling ill and her eating, drinking and talking have been affected. She is also in a great deal of pain. Amber does not work for an employer and does not have health insurance. She has to pay out of pocket for her care and this fundraiser will relieve the financial burden and stress off of her so that she can continue to do what she does best, and that is rescuing animals! Her medical and travel bills to Mexicali are around $4,000 so far and will be increasing with each doctor visit over the next few months. Even with a great deal of trauma and pain she went right back to her mission of helping animals. Let's join together to help someone that has helped out our community so much!
