Help for an Afghan Family- Urgent Campaign
Donation protected
My name is Mark Hamm and I currently reside in Dallas Texas. I was deployed to Khost Province, Afghanistan in 2013 while serving in the US Army. During my time there, I befriended several Afghans who were assisting the US Army with logistics and supplies. Recently one of the gentlemen, who I will refer to as Ahmad, reached out to me via Facebook Messenger to express the dire need that he and his family are facing. He and his family have been left behind, are jobless, and are under constant threat due to the assistance he provided the US Army over the past two decades.
Ahmad is married and has five children. He and his family are desperately trying to flee the country, but as they navigate the process, they have no income or support. The current regime will not employ him based on his past support to coalition forces.
They need your help to survive, and they have no other support. His reaching out to me is a sign that all of his resources have been completely exhausted.
I am creating this page for my former colleagues who were there to see if anyone would like to donate. All funds will be immediately provided to Ahmad and his family. Funds will be used for shelter, clothing, and food-- all the basic necessities for him and his family.
The picture posted was taken in 2013 by Ahmad. Ahmad helped organize donations that were funneled through my unit in order to reach Afghan students. We gathered clothing, shoes, and school supplies for the children and Ahmad tirelessly funneled the donations to those most in need in the area.
