Help For Annie During Cancer Treatments

Annie is 39 and was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductile Carcinoma stage 2B Breast cancer. It is very invasive and she has already begun her first stage of treatment, which at the moment is 3-4 months of chemotherapy. The second stage will involve surgery and recovery, and the third will be approximately 3-4 months of radiation. She is commuting almost an hour, one way, every week for treatments. While the exact future schedule is unknown, it is going to be a huge financial undertaking while being off work-not to mention the holidays. She is a wonderful person and mother, who sadly lost her husband two years ago, and is raising her 11 year old son as a single mother/widow. While she has a great emotional and physical support system, she is off work and bills don’t pause for cancer. While we aren’t related by blood, she is my sister-our parents have been together more of our lives than they haven’t and I love her and her son dearly. We all appreciate anything you can give-funds will be used towards travel expenses (vehicle maintenance, gas, etc.) household and medical bills, rent, and for Luke’s needs for at least the next year.
