Help for Austin, Lily, and Baby Poore

Lily & Austin Poore are a military family stationed overseas in Guam with the United States Air Force. They are expecting their first child in May. On December 28th, 2021, they went to their 20-week anatomy scan hoping to find out the gender of their baby. Unfortunately, this day took a turn for the worse. Instead of revealing Baby Poore’s gender, significant abnormalities were discovered. Since high-risk maternal fetal care cannot be provided in Guam, Lily and Austin felt it was in their family’s best interest to self-evacuate and seek specialty care elsewhere.
Fortunately, a family member was able to help them with plane tickets to the U.S. This family member only provided help with the understanding that they would be reimbursed. Their small family travelled to Nashville, Tennessee where Lily and baby are now under the care of the maternal fetal specialists at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Going to Nashville was not only where they will receive expert care but also where their families are. They are now able to receive both the medical & emotional support that is necessary in times like this.
They are a young family with a tight budget. With Austin being lower ranked enlisted & Lily unable to work, this tragic event has left them with few financial resources to cover current & future expenses. Due to the urgent nature of their evacuation, there is a possibility of transferring duty stations back to the Continental United States. This would include moving their three pets off island at their own expense. They were not anticipating this move for two more years.
We are gracefully asking for your help. Lily & Austin travelled back to the US under emergency conditions. They had to leave their pets, car, and home behind. Your donation would go directly to meet their immediate financial needs like transportation, food, and warm clothing. It would also assist with relocating their pets when they finally receive orders to permanently leave Guam.
