Help for Baby Carter and Family

Hello everyone, my name is Annika Conboy. I have made this gofundme on behalf of my dearest friend Kyrstin Dumont and her partner Cameron Bourbonnais-Shaver, and their newest and sweetest member of the family, Baby Carter, to help with some of the financial expenses that will be upcoming in their lives while they stay by Carter's side in the hospital. 
Throughout Kyrstin’s pregnancy many complications had arisen and she was categorized as at risk, there were many ifs - ands - ors and buts.. the only thing that doctors could say for certain was that they wouldn’t know the extent of her case until her child was born.. Kyrstin and her partner Cameron spent months of their pregnancy in a world wind of up and down emotions due to the confusion and uncertainty revolving around their baby. Due to the complications and the categorization of her pregnancy being high risk she had a planned C-section for May 31st.
On Monday, May 29th Kyrstin went into labour and rushed to the hospital at 4am. It was only a few hours later when her son, Carter was born at 10:57am. Carter has a severe condition of Aplasia Cutis Congenita, it is a rare disorder that can be mild but Carters case is the worst of the worst..the entire back and front of his skull is missing.. there’s no skin, no tissue, no bone and no brain lining.. his brain is protruding his skull in a “ hole “ that makes up more than half of his head.
Carter had to undergo a long, long surgery within the first 24 hours of his life which took place on Tuesday, May 30th where they did a skin graft to ensure something is protecting his little brain. If he survives his recovery they will look at skull reconstruction when he’s 3 or 4 if he is able to keep fighting until he’s that age. 
Carter will be in the CHEO NICU for the next four months, possibly even longer depending on the complications, infections and issues that arise during his recovery. Kyrstin and Cameron will need to be by his bedside for the next few months to help with his recovery and the last thing they should have to worry about is financial expenses. We are opening this gofundme to make this easier on them and their baby as her partner will have to take unpaid time off of work. We have estimated their monthly costs for the next 6 months and that is all we will be asking for, anything that goes above our request will be donated to the CHEO NICU ward as a way of giving back for all they are doing for their baby. They are taking it day by day but due to Carters condition he will be surrounded by doctors his entire life. They want to thank everyone in advance for making this as easy as can be during such a difficult time.
