Help for Baby Kaida
Donation protected
Baby Kaida is about to have her 4th brain surgery after suffering a massive brain aneurysm and two strokes when she was nine months old. She will be having a hemispherectomy in August to stop her seizures, hopefully. They will be cutting the brain in half and completely separating both sides in hopes that the damaged side will stop hurting the healthy side of the brain. This is a very intense and invasive surgery, but she desperately needs it to go well. She is having between 30-50 seizures a day, and none of the meds are helping. After this surgery, she will go back to being paralyzed on her right side, her speech will regress, and she will be permanently blind on the right side of both eyes. She is also at risk of brain infections and excessive bleeding. But if the surgery is a success, she should be seizure free and hopefully be able to start growing and improving after the damage from her brain aneurysm and two strokes. She has a long road ahead of her. Please keep her in your prayers!
