Help for Ben Rogers to Beat Cancer

Hi everyone….Once again I am calling on the good will of my friends and family to help me beat down cancer. As you may know, this time last year, I was receiving an operation to remove cancer from my colon (stage 3) followed by intensive chemotherapy treatment. Fast forward a year and I am now going to defeat metastasic cancer in my liver, as a lesion has been found there in a recent CT scan. Financially, the last couple of years have put a huge burden on me, by depleting savings among other things. However, I am in a position to hopefully join an immunotherapy trial this time and am remaining positive for good results, so I can put this in the rear view mirror as well. That being said, insurance is an ongoing issue and what it’s willing to cover. I’ll need to visit specialists, pay premiums, out of pocket expenses, prescriptions, as well as living expenses; since treatment and recovery will keep me away from working at a traditional position like I interviewed for earlier this fall before this news at UNCA. I am hopeful to pick up some coding (computer programming) contracts, like I have done in the past to supplement my expenses, but there’s no guarantees. That being said, please read my blog updates about my progress in once again beating back cancer both here and on Facebook, as I look forward to any support you can muster whether it’s monetary or simply encouragement as both are just as important as the other to me.
