Help for Blair and Jeanette Whitenton
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Meghan Whitenton and I am raising funds on behalf of my father, Blair Whitenton and stepmom, Jeanette Whitenton, after their camper home was destroyed in a fire. We are all from the Oakland County area, but they moved up to Cadillac, MI. The propane explosion and fire occurred on 10/13/2020. They were trying to rebuild their lives and were living in a camper home in Cadillac, MI. My dad was trying to prepare the camper for winter when the propane explosion happened. My dad experienced first degree and second degree burns on his hands, arms, and face. He had to be transferred to a burn unit in Grand Rapids for care. They lost almost all of their belongings in the fire and are now without stable and secure housing. Thankfully, my dad, Jeanette, and their beloved 3 dogs are okay, but all are devastated. The beneficiary of the campaign is my father and the money will go to a joint bank account for him and Jeanette. The funds will be used for clothing, toiletries, medication, medical needs, gas money, maintenance of their vehicle, and transportation to Ann Arbor as my dad is now going to U of M burn unit. The funds will also be used for the removal/disposal of the camper, moving costs such as security deposit, rent, furniture, household items, and many other things necessary to rebuild their lives. Please consider assisting them as they work towards getting back on their feet and moved into a new home. Thank you, any help is appreciated!
