Help for Blaze emergency wound care
Donation protected
Hi from Kiana and Darrian and a true tragedy occurred this Christmas morning. We walked into the store for two minutes and left Blaze in the car. We came back outside and my car and Blaze were gone. Bystanders were standing in the parking lot and we immediately ran over to figure out what happened. They said that someone jumped into my car, quickly reversed out of the space, realized my Blaze was in the car and threw Blaze out of the car but his leash was caught on the car. He tried to run as fast and as long as he could but ended up being dragged by the car at a high speed until the leash broke and he was severely injured.
He’s currently at the vet awaiting care for his wounds and to get testing done. The emergency vet costs are estimated at $5,000 potentially more with ongoing treatment.
Blaze is the goofiest, sweetest and most loving pup that did not deserve to be thrown out of and dragged by a cruel thief stealing my car.
The police still haven’t located my car but I’m hoping anyone can find it in their heart to help my baby Blaze.
12/26 Update (Warning: the photos may be graphic but I included them below.)
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give a quick update on Blaze as we were able to see him today. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. His prognosis has improved since yesterday as the vets weren’t sure if he was strong enough pull through. He will have a long recovery ahead of him.
He’s received allot of abrasion treatments, bandaging and prescriptions. He will need many check up appointments, cleaning and medication as this will be important in helping his road to recovery.
Thank you again for helping us through this tragic experience.
Our car is still missing and we are hopeful the police catch this criminal so he gets prosecuted.
Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
