Life saving care for Boomer (Boo)

My name is Jeremy, this gofundme is for my cat, my best little buddy Boomer, we call him Boo. He is almost 4 years old and he is the sweetest cat I have ever encountered on this earth. He is best friends with everyone he has ever met and enjoys watching the South Texas birds out of his window and porch.

He suffered an accident in our home in the middle of the night about 8 months ago and severely injured his front right leg as well as some sort of spinal cord injury that at first destroyed his mobility for weeks. Against the odds he began to walk and regain a fair bit of mobility, but as time went on, he kept dragging his leg and cutting it up and scraping it, causing himself to get infections and sores. The doctors recommended that we amputate and so this week he had his front right arm amputated. Boo was doing great for a day after the surgery but suddenly this morning he fell ill and had two seizures. We took him to the Emergency Vet and they told us he was showing signs of IMHA (Immune Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia) which is his body destroying his own red blood cells. This is a rare case that can happen after a major surgery like an amputation. They told us the only thing that can help him fight this is to transfer him to a hospital that will administer a blood transfusion(s) to give his body more time to regain control possibly along with steroids and possibly immunotherapy. The cost of this is uncertain and we are worried that we cannot afford to go through with this right after just paying so much for his amputation and everything. The estimate given at the emergency vet was 7,000$ (Currently more) which totally shocked us. I am desperate so I am making this gofundme in hopes that it may reach some fellow animal lovers out there.

We are doing all we can to help Boo fight this, but we could really use some help. From our whole family, we appreciate anyone who reads this and considers contributing.
