Help for Brian and Kids

Hello everyone,

My name is Ryan O'Mara, and my friend Brian is going through a difficult patch. He has exhausted his savings working tirelessly to keep his family together through tough times (see below). He is concerned for the safety of his children and has made the difficult decision to move them away from their current situation. I am starting this fundraiser in hopes that we can come together to raise enough for Brian and his kids to get started in a new apartment. Any little bit will be of great help as he faces security deposits and moving costs, on top of everything else he is dealing with. Brian is an excellent person and an extremely hard worker, and he deserves whatever support we can give.

Statement from Brian:

I need help getting the kids and myself out of a bad situation. Things were okay earlier this year; my wife and I moved into a larger place that required us both to work. We had plans and dreams. Then in April, my wife had a mental break, and while she has a history of mental illness, it has never been like this. She recently set a fire around the house. My stepson overheard her say, “do this to kill the children.” I was told that she viewed me no longer as her husband and that “Nate” was now her husband. When I asked if she still loved me, she replied, “I will always love you even though there is someone else.” There hasn’t been any affection between us for months. Not even the simplest of hugs. Every conversation turns into an argument. She has exposed herself to strangers. Lies fill everything, with her telling me her job doesn’t need her to come in while they were actually waiting on her to come back. She later quit the job and told me she was fired. I could keep going with examples, but the end result is that the environment is terrible for the kids and myself. The problem is compounded because I had hoped when this started that she would go into the hospital and come out back to “normal.” Because of this hope, I have used all my savings to keep the house running. And now that I see I need to rescue the kids and myself, I don’t have the capital to do so. That is why I need help. I need to get the kids and myself into a better environment.
