Help for Brittany Weston's Family
Donation protected
This is Brittany Weston. She is 23 years old and until Tuesday, November 1, 2016 she was a loving, caring and vibrant young lady looking to further her education in law at USM in Portland, Maine.
This campaign comes with great heartache for the family and friends of Brittany. She is the daughter of James Weston but most people know him as "Jimmy". And to him, she is his "Britt Brat". On That Tuesday morning around 11 am, Jimmy was notified by the police department that Brittany was "hit by a car" while crossing the street on Forest Avenue in Portland. Without any more detail than the urgency for him to rush to MMC to see his daughter, he phoned his fiance, Anita Whitehead, and together they took that agonizing drive to the hospital. It was only then when they arrived to find that Brittany's head injuries were life threatening and she was undergoing surgery at that time. Despite the heroic attempt by the surgeon, it was determined that Brittany's chance of recovery was bleek. She had suffered such severe brain injury and swelling and currently requires being on a ventilator for life sustaining support. With her family constantly by her side, the doctors involved have given them very little hope for any quality of life. They are faced with the most agonizing decisions they will ever have to make in a lifetime for their daughter.
This campaign was designed to help the family with the mounting medical bills and to help with the decisions they have to face in the very near future. The shock and tragedy that this family is dealing with is more than any parent should have to face. Any donation would be greatly appreciated by Brittany's family.
