Help for Carolyn's 3 Senior Pugs

On January 8th, 2019 we lost an amazing lady to cancer. Carolyn Mountcastle, fought this battle for many years and never once, did she give up. Right before Christmas, she had started another chemo knowing how aggressive this would be, she was determined she would beat it. Our friend’s body could not handle the effects, and shortly thereafter she lost the battle. Carolyn was the most beautiful person, inside and out. She was a dedicated rescuer for Pug Rescue of North Carolina and part of an AOL Pug Board Family for many many years. For over 20 years, this pug board of ours shared a special bond, our love of pugs. We are located all over this world, some of us have never met in person but nonetheless, we became family sharing our lives, our pugs, family, children, grandchildren, marriage, divorce, deaths … it is something very special we have together.  Never in Carolyn’s mind did she ever think she would not be returning home to her three senior pugs, Baxter, Jasmine and Gracie. Baxter suffers from Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). DM is a disorder of the spinal cord that affects dogs and is similar to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a human disease that's also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and Gracie is sight impaired and requires meds monthly. As we deal with the sadness of losing such a beloved women, we were all concerned about where her pugs would go. It was then, David and Ellen Binder, part of our Pug Family are graciously opening their home to take all three, YES, ALL THREE of her babies. We are all so grateful, but nonetheless, when it comes for our love of our babies, our hearts are always bigger than our pocket book. This is why I started this gofundme. Please find it in your heart to contribute any amount in honor of this amazing woman to assure that David and Ellen will not have to struggle in any way financially. They do not know that I am doing this for them…so many of us have asked how we can help and this is the way. I know that Carolyn will rest in peace knowing that her babies are going to the most loving home, with the most generous and gracious couple, where they can stay together. Please keep Carolyn, her babies, her family and friends in prayer, as well as David and Ellen….
