On September 16, 2020 Coach E. went into the hospital with Covid and pneumonia. He was admitted to the hospital and spent three days at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Later, he was transferred to Methodist in Omaha. The Covid and pneumonia had severly affected his lung function. After several greuling weeks Coach E. was ready to be transferred to a Rehabilitation hospital.
He has spent almost five weeks in the hospital and while he was there, he learned that he will never be able to teach in any capacity. As you know, his family, athletes, students, and horses have been his passion throughout his life.
Coach E. will be on oxygen for a year or more, and will be unable to participate in all the things he enjoys due to the loss of lung function. One of his main concerns right now is how we are going to keep his passions alive.
Coach E. has lost a lot in the last few months, but due to the loss of an income he and his family are asking for help. We have lost a monthly income and as you know, we have a fairly large horse farm and family. The loss of income has put us in a very tight situation. We will be downsizing our farm, but until we are able to get some horses sold, we still have the responsibility to properly care for them. In addition to the farm, we have children at home who need cared for properly.
The funds you donate will allow us to continue to feed the horses and our children. The donations will be used to keep our utilities up to date and keep us afloat till we can figure out a plan.
We are in an urgent situation. We were expecting a check today from the school and nothing was deposited. We have bills that are due now, food to buy, and although we have enough hay to feed the horses for the next few weeks, we will soon need to purchase some large round bales. We also know that the medical bills will soon start streaming into our mailbox and supper still needs to be put on the table.
Our family truly appreciates any donation and the help we have received from our community. We hate to ask for more help, but at this point we are becoming desperate and this was a very unexpected situation, as many of you surely know what it's like to experience the situation we have.
Thank you in advance and we send many blessings to you and your families.
