Help for Cpl Wyatt Wilson & Family

Donation protected

In times of crisis military families comes together, without hesitation, because we know the sacrifices and difficulties that our families face. The brave heroes who lost their lives in the Kabul bombing on August 26th 2021 will never be forgotten. And to those who were hit and made it out alive, were not left unscathed.

In this case I am asking for support for my sweet neighbor Justice Wilson, their two year old daughter Poppy, and their beloved Wyatt Wilson who was critically injured in the Kabul bombings recently. I was given permission to share her message below, certain details and this fundraiser as their world has been turned upside down, and they have a long road of recovery ahead of them.

“All gave some, some gave all.. Let’s not forget those who put their lives on the line for our freedom. Life for Wyatt, Justice and Poppy has been turned upside down with no signs of slowing.

On Thursday August 26th 2021, Cpl Wyatt Jay Wilson along with his brother in arms were patrolling Kabul Airport in Afghanistan ensuring the safety of Americans that were trying to evacuate. When a suicide bombing took the lives of 13 service members and wounding many others.

Wyatt was among those that were hit and severely wounded. He has sustained many life-threatening injuries and was Medevac’ed to Germany where he had emergency surgery on his lung and was stabilized enough to be transferred to the states. On Friday, Wyatt was then flown to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Wyatt has sustained many injuries which include but not limited to: facial and chest trauma, multiple shrapnel wounds to his abdomen and extremities; Wyatt also had surgery on his face to repair his jaw and will require others. He’s been medically sedated this entire time along with a tracheal tube and chest tube for internal bleeding.

Wyatt along with Justice and Poppy have a long road ahead of them. Wyatt will require multiple more surgeries and many hours of therapy at Walter Reed. Justice is at his side helping in his recovery. Poppy is with her Nann in Utah and will join her parents when Wyatt is awake and more stable. While the military is taking care of his injuries and medical costs, there are many unexpected expenses that their family was not planning for including flying back and forth from home, meals, etc. They shouldn’t have to worry about anything while Wyatt recovers. Anything you can give will help this amazing military family be with their hero while he recovers.”
