Help for Cristina’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
(New information at the end) In better times I was the person able to help others, but now I am the person respectfully asking for your help.
A few years ago, I was in an abusive relationship that left me with an extreme case of PTSD as well as physical ailments that I am still dealing with today. I lost everything, I was evicted from my apartment, I was left in financial ruin, and I was stripped of my dignity.
I moved to Upstate, New York to rebuild my life with the help of a recovery program. I have also been working with Doctors and Therapists to help me physically and emotionally recover. During this journey my father passed away as well as some close friends. I was also in a terrible car accident during a bad winter storm that totaled my car and landed me in the hospital. It has been a long and painful road.
My car insurance payments are through the roof as well as mounting medical expenses and credit card debt. I have a minimum wage job and I work hard but it doesn't seem to be enough. I am struggling to pay my bills on time if at all. I am stressed, scared, exhausted, and feel hopeless at times.
With your help I could pay off my debt which would alleviate this heavy financial burden that I carry. Instead of days filled with worry and fear I could continue to focus on my sobriety and getting back on track with my passion for energy medicine while working hard at my job.
Your kindness and generosity could help get me back on my feet.
For me, what I just shared was difficult and I struggled to find the right words and what to share and not share so I may have been unclear about a few things. A part of my recovery program is honesty and accountability. I have been working on self-worth and heart coherence and clearly see I chose to enter that abusive relationship because I had no self-worth. No one forced me to do drugs, I actively pursued the escape from life. I then went to an amazing rehab Upstate NY that changed my life. I am proud to say I will have 4 years sobriety this coming February, but I know it’s “one day at a time’. Yes, I have had some devastating experiences throughout my life but that prompted me to enter the world of healing which has saved me, and I am so grateful that gift was not taken from me.
I thank everyone who has supported, financially and emotionally, I am blessed.
With much gratitude,
Cristina
