Help for Damien and Family

My name is Nicole and my 8 year old son Damien has been dealing with heart issues since he was 6 months old. When he was 10 months old, he received his first heart transplant following two prior surgeries and many months at the hospital. We have enjoyed 7 and a half of the most wonderful joyful years together (myself, Damien and his older sister Keira), but unfortunately, Damien was diagnosed with coronary artery disease about 2 years ago. Because of the progression of this disease, his heart is not getting the oxygen it requires, so while his heart was healthy and functioning properly, it is now failing due to lack of oxygen.

Damien and I have traveled the 3 hour trip monthly and kept a very close eye on the progression of this disease. Damien was subsequently relisted for a second heart this past year. Now his transplant team has made the decision that Damien will definitely need to be hospitalized for the remainder of his listing due to increased pressure inside his heart and decreased ability of the heart to do its job. It is no longer safe for Damien to be without close hospital intervention. Damien and I will have to travel the three hours to his hospital and stay there for the foreseeable future until he can receive his heart. Because of all this, there will be added financial difficulties for both myself and the rest of the family, I would appreciate any help that anyone is willing to give us .. even if it’s just a share of this fundraiser, thank you very much and much love
