Help for Danielle Velasquez & her family

Hey! My name is Yasmi.

Last August, my mother, Danielle Velasquez, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. It eventually spread to her liver, and she was also diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

In the past year, she has had multiple surgeries and chemotherapy, and she has been in and out of the hospital for the entirety of this year, however when she checked in on September 22nd, her condition begin to take a turn for the worst.

Danielle is now in the ICU under intense supervision.

On September 25th, her oncologist let us know that there was nothing else that could be done other than pain management. Tonight, September 26th, the nurses are taking her off of support.

My mom, Danielle, is an amazing, hardworking woman. She can light up a room like no other. She is 38 years old, and she has two kids (me and my little brother, Damian). She lives with her kids and her parents, Carol and Dean Whisnant. She is a wonderful lady, who deserves the world.

If you can help my family in anyway possible, it would mean the world to me.

UPDATE: For those of you who don’t know, this lovely lady passed away at 1:12am on September 27th. She wants to be creamated and brought to Tybee Island, which is where most of these beach photos are from. Every year before she was diagnosed with cancer our family would go to Tybee in the beginning of July. She loved the beach so, so much. I remember walking along the shore and watching the sunrise with her every morning we were there. Heaven gained another angel today, and I just hope she’s strolling along some shimmering white sands, admiring the waves from up above. Thank you to all the wishes and love, it means more than you know.
