Help for Family Emergency Assistance

On October 22nd, 2021 our building, Grace Place Apartments, was condemned by Richmond Fire Marshal. The City of Richmond Fire Marshal's office and City of Richmond Department of Planning and Review deemed the 4th street building unsafe. My family, with 3 children, was forced out of our apartment within hours of notice. We were put up in a drug and prostituted motel. The facilities are filthy, with no kitchen, stove, just a microwave and small mini refrigerator. We are starting a GoFundMe page to help us move to an extended stay property, a safer emergency temporary living arrangement, and supplemental transportation. It is for an estimated week until we know when we can return to Grace Place to retrieve our items and move to get back on our feet. Update: Social Services provided a number to call and reserve an appointment time to retrieve some items in the apartment due to extending the time of displacement.
