Help for Deb to rebuild her life after Hurricane Beryl

I am Cindy Roberts the owner of a local restaurant in Jamaica Beach, TX on the west end of Galveston. Deb Toney has been a family friend for years and I have never created a go fund me but feel led to tell Debs story. The night hurricane Beryl made landfall, the west end of Galveston sustained fairly substantial damage plus an EF1 tornado ripped thru Jamaica Beach which is where Debs house was located. Deb had been working to keep her rental homes French doors from blowing open and water from pouring in. She moved furniture in front of the doors but with little luck so she and her dog Marley hid in the bathroom. Deb called me in the early hours saying part of her roof had blown off. While we were on the phone Deb began screaming as the entirety of the roof came off. I immediately called Jamaica Beach Police Chief Ray Garivey then switched back to Deb until help arrived. Deb couldn't really hear me but said everything was flying around and furniture was blowing across the living room. The Chief and help arrived within 2 minutes and we're able to get the doors open and rescue Deb and Marley. Most everything Deb owned was lost. Obviously there are personal items that can not be replaced which in itself is traumatic but I wanted to reach out to the community to maybe turn her nightmare into a show of positivity and love. I can't begin to put a price tag on replacing 64 years of living plus just basic necessities while finding a place to call home. Go fund me suggested $12,000 so I guessed at a total but I know Deb will appreciate anything.
