Help for Don Whalen

On Jan. 22, of 2022 I tested positive for Covid 19. At the time I was working full time and receiving a weekly income. On Jan. 26 I was admitted to the ER at St Mary's in Huntington, WV. They gave me a 25% chance of survival.

I will now give a time line of events leading up to today.

After 10 days at St Mary's I was sent to Health South for rehab. After more than 2 weeks there I was diagnosed with double pneumonia. I was then sent back to St Mary's to the ER. Later I was transferred to ICU for treatment.

After a few weeks my oxygen dropped and I was diagnosed with lung blockage.

I was placed on double doses of steroids.

A few weeks pass and I am transferred to Teas Valley Center for rehab. After 4 weeks there I was told I had to move out.

I moved to Kanawha Place for rehab. After a couple weeks my oxygen dropped again and I went to Memorial Hosp. in Charleston, WV. I was there for 10 days with blocked lungs.

Today I am back at Kanawha Place for rehab.

Over this 4 month period the bills continue to mount. From EMS transportation, prescriptions, Physical Therapy, to equipment rentals, to nursing home facilities not covered, and all types of additional co-pays keep mounting and I am still not home.

The Go Fund Me is hopefully an answer to help me survive once I get rehashed and get home.
