In the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 30th, Eddie passed away at home with Rhonda by his side. As we all grieve the loss of Eddie let us please keep Rhonda and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
"Don't cry for me because I'm gone. Smile because I was here." We will be crying because Eddie is gone from our lives, but we will definitely all be smiling and even laughing because Eddie was such a blessing in our lives.
Arrangements will be announced when they are finalized.
Hi, my name is Amy, my family has been friends with Eddie and Rhonda for many years. I am starting this Go Fund Me to support the Harrison Family.
Eddie, Rab, is just 54 years old and is in the fight of his life. Eddie has been on peritoneal kidney dialysis for the past 6 1/2 years. In February 2023 he was diagnosed with AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. AML is a blood cancer that starts in the bone marrow. Since Eddie's diagnosis in February, he has been hospitalized numerous times, received chemotherapy, and blood transfusions and has been to countless treatments and specialist appointments. Eddie not only receives treatment in Lancaster, PA he also travels to oncology visits and treatments in Hershey, PA. As I am typing this, he is being admitted into Hershey Medical Center. Throughout his treatment for AML Eddie continues to receive his kidney dialysis.
Eddie and his wife Rhonda are the parents of 3 children and 5 grandchildren. If you know Eddie, you know he is a proud, dedicated, and loving husband, dad, and grandfather. Eddie has been a skilled, hardworking carpenter for over 30 years. He truly enjoys working and misses being able to work in his field and with so many people.
Since his AML diagnosis, Eddie has not been able to work, which has placed a substantial financial strain on him and his family. Rhonda has also had to adjust her work schedule and take time off of work to be with and help take care of Eddie.
Please join me in donating to The Harrison Family Go Fund Me to help defray the costs of medical bills and assist in transportation to and from appointments and treatments. Please also keep Eddie, Rhonda and their family in your prayers.
A note from Eddie and Rhonda..."Eddie hopes to get strong enough to receive a double transplant, bone marrow/stem cell and kidney." They are prayerful and grateful for a life filled with loving friends and family.
