Help for Emma’s Family
Donation protected
My dear friends beautiful little girl has been in All Children’s Hospital since Tuesday, October 16th.
Emma began having trouble breathing. As this progressed she ended up with a fever of over 104 degrees by the time she got to the hospital. She was diagnosed with Human Metapnuemovirus(hMPV) , which caused her to develop severe bronchiolitis, a blockage in her airway as a complication from the virus. Emma has been completely unable to breath on her own without the oxygen machine. The doctors have tried several times to wean her off the oxygen but her levels continue to drop each time.
Her parents are amazing hard-working people and have been completely caught off guard by the financial issues that are arising with their child falling unexpectedly ill. The doctors have no idea when she will be released and Emma needs to have one of her parents with her 24 hours a day. They are struggling commuting back and forth, caring for another young child, and missing work.
I have never made a page like this before, but I have known Christina since elementary school and she is like a sister to me. I have never seen her family struggle this way before! She was supposed to return to her job last Wednesday and is facing loosing her new contract because her husband is also unable to take the days off. They have private insurance and are bracing for the co-pays while taking a major hardship from the loss of a second income.
I am asking for help to get sweet Emma and her family through this by taking some of the financial strain away. #teamemma !!
