Help for Extreme House Fire
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Aubrey, and I’m asking for donations on behalf of my sister, Taylor Killilea, and her daughter.
On the morning of February 16, my sister came home from work to see smoke coming out of her house while all of her pets were trapped inside. She went inside the porch, and was met with a wall of flame at the front door. She tried to call for her animals to come, but only one of her dogs was able to make it out by breaking through his kennel. She lost all of her other animals and belongings to the fire.
When fire fighters showed up on the scene, the temperature of the fire was over 1000°F, and the fire had spread through the entire house. The fire chief has deemed the cause of the fire as indeterminable due to the severity and destruction.
As you can see from the pictures, there is no home left to speak of.
Donations are sought for basic necessities, home and kitchen goods, food, medical costs, and for my sister and niece to find a new place to call home.
While the loss of a home is tragic, the loss of so many dearly loved pets is unimaginable. 4 cats, 3 dogs, 2 ferrets, and many other small animals were lost. So far, only the body of one dog has been recovered. We hope to search the rubble and rescue the remains of the other pets, and we are looking for help to cover the cost of cremation for any remains found. Additionally, the surviving dog has injuries from his escape which need to be addressed, and the outdoor animals have been rehomed but need their feed to be provided.
This was a total, devastating loss. Please consider giving any amount that you are able. Everything helps and is deeply appreciated.
