Help for family of Ahmad Al Shanti from Gaza

I would like to kindly ask everybody who see this fundraiser, to take few minutes time and read story of Ahmad, because you can help to save his life and life of his remaining family members which survived bombing of their house in Rafah.

This is how Ahmad described the day, which changed their life. Since then, every day of their lives is just about surviving it, to see the next sunrise.

My name is Ahmed. I am 29 years old. I live in the city of Rafah. I am a graduate of sociology, social service branch. My family consists of 6 members, my father, my mother, and 4 brothers.

We woke up this morning to massive destruction in our house. I was drowning under the rubble. I thought I was breathing my last breath, but they were able to save me. Unfortunately my mother and my brother died under the rubble. Most of the house was destroyed. There were painful and intense moments of sadness over them passing away. On the same day, I went for treatment at Al-Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah. We moved to live with one of our friends next to the hospital. Until now, every day of our lives is filled with heartbreak, sadness, and massive destruction. Day by day, the internal pain increases. And also, day by day, we are trying to save what is left of our family and trying to survive, because we aspire to a quiet life, living reassured in peace. Time passes, and I am thinking hard. To save my family and go to a safe place to protect them. That is my only wish…

This is Ahmad’s mother which died.

This is his brother, he did not survive airstrike either.

This was their home. In the middle used to be kitchen. His mom was there when attack happened, in the room on the left was brother which died and Ahmad was in the room at right. They pulled him from the rubble alive and he survived.

Ahmad is bright young men. He studied to have better future, but with raging war there may be no future for him and his family. He lost his dear mother and one of brothers in airstrike, and he is trying every possible way to save the rest of his family.

Money collected from fundraiser, will be used for process of obtaining a permit to enter Egypt and flee to safety for him as well as for his surviving brothers and his father. We will pay the cost at Egyptian side, so their names can be added to the list at border and they will be allowed to cross it. Process is very complicated, and costs are unbearable for most of Gazan families, so we are trying this way.

Please help us to save this family and change their fate.
