WHO AM I:
My name is Geoffery Johnson. I am a single father supporting 2 wonderful children; a school teacher and coach in Arizona for 14 years; and suffer from Crohn's Disease, a severe type of inflammatory bowel disease
WHY HAVE I STARTED A GO FUND ME ACCOUNT:
Recently I was hospitalized for 3 weeks, had 2 major surgeries, and spent time in intensive care due to this debilitating disease. I may not be able to return to work for up to 9 months and face another surgery at the end of that nine months. I must still support my 2 children and continue to provide a home and food for them. I also face the remaining hospital bills after insurance has paid.
WHAT WILL THE MONEY BE USED FOR:
Hospital bill paying
Food and shelter for myself and my children until I am able to return to work
Medical supplies not covered by insurance
MY INTENT:
I have always been a functioning and contributing member of our society. My plan is to return to work as soon as my health has returned and continue to be a functioning member of society. It is difficult for me to ask for help but I realize that I really need any help that can be provided to see me through this time of medical crisis in my life.
