Help for Graham Webb following cardiac arrest

Donation protected
At the start of this new year, 2022, we all had so much to look forward to, then things changed in a heartbeat, literally.

Hi, my name is Jools I’m a mother of four grown-up children and I work in the NHS, along with my husband and my eldest daughter, Gabbie. The reason I mention working in the NHS is that we are just everyday working-class people, getting by as best we can, but also with an appreciation of the amazing work, our colleagues are doing at this difficult time.

On Tuesday 4th January, Gabbie's future dreams with her partner Graham Webb (aka Webby) were turned upside down when he suffered a cardiac arrest. Webby was about to play football when he collapsed. Words cannot express how grateful we all are to his friends who were present that evening, for their actions in caring for him until the ambulance arrived and all the messages since.

A bit more insight into the wonderful person Graham ‘Webby’ is. He is a self-employed window cleaner in Eastbourne (A Glass Act) which he set up in the last couple of difficult years, as well as having travelled abroad with his passion as a DJ - https://www.instagram.com/webby.official/?hl=en in his spare time. He is a massive Liverpool FC fan, he is a kind, caring, generous funny loveable, and genuinely nice guy that you could ever wish to meet. He fought a tough and hard battle with meningitis some years ago, stunning the doctors with his strength and determination, it was a miracle he survived and had to learn to do basic skills all over again, demonstrating his stubbornness to quit or give up.

Webby is still undergoing tests, and on a ventilator in Eastbourne District General Hospital, ICU. The impact this traumatic situation is having is unimaginable, and at this moment in time, extremely difficult to process or comprehend, with a rollercoaster of ups, and downs for Gabbie, Webby's family, and all that know and love him.

Whilst the uncertainty for Webby’s future lies in the balance, we are trying to remain positive, and pray for his recovery. He has no income protection cover and living in a top-floor flat with no lift, we need to start putting preparations in place, such as finding more suitable rented accommodation at ground floor level, as well as trying to cover his loss of income. I am hoping to raise enough funds to minimise the effect of the financial strain and assist with anything that will aid his recovery, improve his quality of life.

No matter how small a donation you can make, it could make such a huge impact on his future, and we would be forever indebted to you.

Update 12th Jan.

They have taken Graham off strong sedation & will keep lowering it but they expected him to be more responsive by now. The MRI showed a large grey mass, and plan another MRI next week. The Dr today said they think he has brain damage & that he will probably be a different person to what we know...

They are talking of weeks of him being in hospital... not days. The uncertainty of what lies ahead is unimaginable, unquantifiable and totally numbing. The total has been raised in order to prepare for the potentially long road ahead.

God bless, and thank you all for the wonderful messages of support and for taking the time to read this fund me page.
