Help for Hailey Hurst’s Kids
Donation protected
Covid-19 has deprived the world of a beautiful soul and taken an amazing mother.
Hailey Hurst (my sister) was the kind of person that cared for everyone as if they were family. She wouldn't hesitate to spend holidays cooking turkey dinners for fire evacuation victims and always volunteered to bake cookies for the local Breastfeeding Coalition.
Even her coworkers at Tuolumne County Social Services and Public Health knew her as a friend, more than a colleague. Her world rotated around her two little boys, Logan 11 years old and William 9 years old.
Even after testing positive, Hailey's biggest concern was for her children. She rallied friends and family and organized a drive-by honking parade to assure William could still celebrate his 9th birthday while on quarantine. At the time, none of us could've fathomed that just a few days later she'd be gone.
On September 3rd, just over two weeks after being diagnosed with Covid-19 (despite taking every precaution, being fully vaccinated and a firm mask-wearer) Hailey passed away at Stanford hospital surrounded by her family. She was rushed to our local hospital September 1st with symptoms that came on suddenly. After being unable to find a bed at any hospital across California and Nevada for over 24 hours, she was flown in an air ambulance to Stanford Hospital where they began emergency treatment. She fought hard but in the end her body could not take everything being thrown at her immune system.
Any contribution is appreciated and all funds will go directly to help the family soften the burden of burial costs, residual medical bills and to help her two young boys during these unprecedented and difficult times. Funds will directly benefit Logan and William Robinson who are Hailey’s sons and my nephews. Kami Hurst (Aunt to the boys) and Betsy Hurst (Grandmother) will handling all withdrawals and funds to a specific account held for the boys and final costs for Hailey. Funds donated will be directly deposited to this account then overseen by Betsy and Kami for the foreseeable future.
Thank you and God Bless.
