Help for Hallie and family
Donation protected
Hello my name is Tracy Scott. I am a family friend of the Grove/Godwin family of Durham ON.
Little Hallie Godwin, daughter of Marnie Grove and Aaron Godwin of Durham ON who is almost 3 had a freak household accident on May 2 and is still in the hospital. The injury unknowingly cut off circulation to her leg. She was taken to the local hospital and then transferred immediately to London’s children’s hospital which has already resulted in 3 surgeries, skin graft, removal of muscle which will affect her motor mobilities going forward and with other possible complications of organ issues due to lack of circulation. Her amazing Mom and Dad took immediate action when they realized something was not right with Miss Hallie. Marnie and Aaron have hit some major stumbling blocks both emotionally and financially with both not being able to work. Aaron is staying at the hospital 24/7 with Hallie and Marnie is pulling double duties as a Mom and dividing her time between being with Hallie and looking after their other 3 children at home (ages 10-4). Marnie is driving back and forth to London every day (2 hours each way). Hallie has a LONG road ahead of her, as do her parents and siblings. Hallie will require some extensive recovery, physio, equipment, appoints in London (once she is well enough to go home), wound care and very close observation with the reality of possible additional surgeries. Marnie, Aaron and kids live in Durham ON/West Grey and are fortunate to have a ton friends and family to offer support, but they are now in need of a more help to keep life/household going, gas, parking, hotels, food ect. Costs that are incurred when not being in your own home while supporting their beautiful daughter.
Hallie is a very lucky girl. Surgeon/doctors said if Mom and Dad had not have taken the quick action that they did, Hallie’s fate would have had different outcome. IF you can find it in your heart to help this young family deal with these unexpected expenses, it would be greatly appreciated.
