Help for Hank Harrison's celebration of life!

Hank Harrison was born on June 17, 1941 in Monterey, California, USA.

He attended Hayward High School, the College of San Mateo, San Jose State and San Francisco State University. He has lived and taught in Canada, England, The Netherlands and Ireland, where he met Catriona.

Hank authored several books, magazine and journal articles, and both he and Catriona worked as technical writers in Silicon Valley until moving to this area in 1996. Throughout their 42 years together Hank helped and encouraged Catriona in her successful equestrian career. Together they have rescued hundreds of companion animals: horses, dogs, cats, chickens and geese…even a possum or two and several people along the way!  After Hank suffered a stroke two years ago, Catriona retired from her equestrian work to care for him, until he succumbed to a failing heart on January 23. Though often struggling to make ends meet,  no amount of money could buy the love and camaraderie Hank and Catriona had between them right up until the end.

 

There will be a private funeral with a celebration of life to be held later.
