Let me introduce you to Heather, Ceanna, and Elijah. Heather is a single mom of two incredible kids. Ceanna is creative, witty, and loves to draw and read. Elijah is enthusiastic and kind, sweet and endearing. Heather has bravely fought cancer for four years, and has now been given only months to live. She loves Jesus with her whole heart, and she wants her kids to be taken care of when she is gone. With courage, prayer, and strength, Heather has sought God to provide a family to adopt Ceanna and Elijah. Through a series of events that can only be described as answers to prayer, God has provided an adoptive family for the kids. It is truly a miracle!
Now it is time for the legal work of securing an adoption and taking care of end-of-life expenses, which incur several high costs over the next few months. Although the financial cost is high, the result is that Elijah and Ceanna don't have to worry about who will care for them when their mom passes, and it means that Heather will know that her kids are secure and safe and will be loved unconditionally.
Ceanna and Elijah are Heather’s world, and she would do anything for them. You can’t help but smile when you hang out with Elijah and Ceanna; their joy is infectious.
