Help for Heathers Medical Costs

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I am trying to raise money for my beautiful friend Heather Wall. Heather is such a pure soul. She is the most selfless, caring, and loving person. She walks into a room and lights it up with her tender voice, obvious love and positive attitude.
Heather is a mother of two beautiful children Eddie and Hannah . She has done a phenomenal job raising both children with her husband Greg and with the children’s father Ed (who’s relationship is continually strong). They all have been put through so much over the last month and need any help they can get.

Heather went in to have abdominal surgery on January 25th & what usually is an outpatient to one-day stay surgery, ended up being an extremely traumatic & frightening chain of events. She did come home the next day but by January 30th it had became clear that something was definitely wrong. She had developed an uncontrolled fever & more pain than the usual post-op discomfort. She went in to see her doctor, who performed the surgery & was put on antibiotics. By Feb 2nd she was admitted to the hospital for IV antibiotics and the CT scan revealed she had developed multiple abscesses from the surgery. She had to stay in the hospital & receive IV antibiotics daily and was released Feb 5th and told to continue oral antibiotics at home. For several days she dealt with so many horrible side effects from all the antibiotics and other medications such as dizziness, nausea, digestional issues, along with discomfort and pain, severe night sweats and complete exhaustion.
By Saturday, February 12th, she started feeling worse & the fever was back. She dealt with these symptoms for another week & by Sunday morning February 19th, at 3:30 am, she felt a sharp pop & excruciating pain. They had to call 911 & she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. This time the CT scan revealed that the abscesses were much bigger, more complex & possibly one had ruptured. She was immediately taken into surgery & the surgeon had to drain the abscesses and put in 2 external drainage tubes so they could continuely drain outside her body. Now back on IV antibiotics, she is again dealing with all of the post-op pain, the effects of having anesthesia twice in a very short period of time & even more severe exhaustion. By Monday, February 21st, it was clear she had gone into sepsis & the infection was in her blood. By Tuesday they could no longer obtain IV access & had to insert a PICC line. When she is released from the hospital, the PICC line will remain in so that she can receive daily IV infusions for at least 14 days to make sure that all of the infection is completely gone. Her body has undergone such repeated trauma that it is going to take months to recover & heal. She will continue to have extreme fatigue as her body uses all it's energy to fight this infection and heal.
While she’s been battling she has not been able to work, and her husband Greg has had to take multiple days off to help her. They will be struggling to pay the doctors bills when they start rolling in. Any contribution will help, no matter the amount.

I just want to thank everyone ahead of time for your donations for Heather and her family! She truly is my best friend “sister from another mister” and I just want to be able to help in any way possible! She’s always been there for me from my wedding to the birth of my son. Never asking for anything in return. She definitely has made my life brighter and couldn’t be more thankful that god crossed our paths 17 years ago! I love you Heather, Greg, Ed, Eddie and Hannah! I hope this helps because your amazing family deserves it!

I will continue to update everyone on Heathers battle!!
