Help for Hien Duong and Hannie Hguyen, owner of Hugo Travel
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Laurie and I'm a travel agency owner in Canada. I came across an article in CTV News about a colleague and other travel agency owner in Regina, SK that was sadly defrauded out of $284,000 from a fraudster who used fake credit card to purchase airline tickets.
I have spoken with Hien and his wife Hannie, who own Hugo Travel and who rely on their small business as their main source of income. Hien has advised me that this month has been one of the most difficult times in his life as he struggles with the charge-backs and responsibility to cover the cost of these horrific losses.
Our tight-knit travel industry community understands, are sympathetic and support one another. We know the struggles and hardships, as well as the joy in serving our travel clients and doing our best to make a difference in opening the world through travel.
We're so sorry that you are going through this difficult time but know that we care.
For those who can contribute ANY donation amount to help Hien and his wife recover and rebuild their travel agency business, this would mean a lot.
In the word of Hien, "My wife and I are truly touched by your words and the generosity of spirit you’ve extended — not only on a personal level, but as part of our greater travel industry family. Thank you not just for the practical support, but for your kindness, your advocacy, and your belief in the power of community. We truly are stronger together."
