Help for Hope - Pepito Brothers

Join us in extending a helping hand to B-Jay (26yo) and Benedick (23yo), two courageous brothers from Malapascua Island, Philippines, who have endured heart-wrenching tragedy. In a span of just one year, they lost their father in 2018 and their mother in 2019. Bereft of parental support, they were left to navigate life's challenges on their own.

To compound their hardship, both brothers were afflicted by tuberculosis, a disease exacerbated by the harsh reality of poverty. Without proper support and access to medical attention, both were not able to continue their medication and at the same time, had so much difficulty having proper nutrition - to the point of not being able to afford a meal due to their conditions.

Fortunately, a ray of hope emerged when concerned citizens stepped in, assisting B-Jay and Benedick in their journey towards medical treatment. They were finally able to reach the hospital, but their path to recovery is been anything but easy. They have undergone a series of tests and procedures, including the Percutaneous Transhepatic Biliary Drainage, in wich the Doctors were able to drain 2 litre of water and make the biopsy, but sadly it didn't work out to place the drainage to drain the bile accumulate in the liver in order to start with his TB medicine.

As long as he can not undergo the surgery for placing the drainage he can not get treatment for the main issue: Tuberculosis.

B-Jay, in addition to tuberculosis, is grappling with severe malnutrition and has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Presently, these resilient brothers are fighting for their lives, summoning every ounce of courage and strength they possess. They have shown remarkable resilience, defying the odds despite enduring immense suffering.

We find ourselves at a critical juncture where their survival depends on the kindness and generosity of others. Unfortunately, accessing adequate healthcare has been a daunting challenge for them. Despite big efforts, they were unable to secure a spot in the public health service or charity hospitals due to limited resources and lack of available beds for their specialized care. As a result, they had to seek treatment at private health services, which comes with substantial financial burdens.

Together, we can make a profound impact on their lives. Your donations will alleviate the financial strain and provide B-Jay and Benedick with the essential medical care they so desperately need. By extending a helping hand, we can offer them a glimmer of hope, a chance to regain their health, and an opportunity to live life with the same dignity and opportunities as everyone else.
