HELP FOR JANICE MCCORMICK AND FAMILY

My name is Stephanie Buckley, and on behalf of my Best Friend, JANICE MCCORMICK of Heidelberg, MS, I’ve started this GO-FUND-ME to help her and her family with their permission.

Janice is a heart patient and has recently been hospitalized for almost two months for End-Stage Heart Failure. She was in Forrest General in July-August and was recently transferred to Ochsner Healthcare Facility in New Orleans, LA, to receive a higher level of care.

Because her heart is failing and she does not qualify for a heart transplant, her healthcare team has performed open heart surgery to implant the LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device), a pump used for patients who have reached end-stage heart failure. She is expected to continue to be hospitalized for up to 6 more weeks, be it there are no unexpected complications.

Janice is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, niece and friend to many. She is known as a giver and a lady of many trades. There was not much she couldn’t or wouldn’t do for anyone before her health became a challenge and her heart began to fail. She never meets a stranger. If you meet her, within minutes, you’ll feel that you’ve known her forever. A very kind and loving woman with lots of love to share.

We’re asking EVERYONE, families, friends, churches, organizations, communities and those that don’t know her but have the heart to give, to let’s help Janice and her family.

All donations will help with travel, loss of wages, food, gas, lodging, medical needs, household expenses, and post-hospital discharge care. We all know that insurance will not cover everything, and Robert, her husband, has taken medical leave from work to be with her and receive extensive training in learning how to care of her and the LVAD.
