Help for Jason Daigle’s final arrangements

Donation protected
On December 10, 2022, our brother Jason Daigle lost his battle after a brief illness at Advent Health hospital in Ocala at the age of 42 years.

Jason initially was admitted for a heart attack and blood clots in his lower extremities. The doctors were concerned he would lose his leg so he was put on blood thinners and more issues dominoed after that.

They found he was bleeding internally from a perforated colon and then developed pneumonia. This morning he went septic and his bowels died and his organs began shutting down.

He was removed from life support this afternoon and passed peacefully with his brothers, Jared and Jeremy, his partner, Michelle and his special needs youngest son, Liam, and eldest son, Jacob by his side.

Jason had been battling various health issues for years and he was finally diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Living in Florida where there is no expanded Medicaid for the Affordable Care Act meant he went years without health care and subsequently suffered without seeing doctors that could properly treat him. All of this snowballed to today, where he has been unjustly taken from this world at the young age of 42, leaving a life abbreviated. The tragedy of it all is Michelle and Jason were trying to get married in the hospital, but his health declined so quickly and he had to be placed under heavy sedation to stabilize him before they could perform the ceremony.

He was the sole breadwinner for his family and now Michelle and Liam are left destitute and lost with what to do next. We, as the family, are doing everything we can to help them but we desperately need outside help for the short term for his partner and young child, who is on the autism spectrum and needs specialized care.
All proceeds from this gofundme will help pay for Jason’s arrangements (a private cremation will be arranged) and help for Michelle and Liam to pay for expenses until she can figure out what the next step will be. It will take a village! Losing a fiancée and a father at Christmas is unimaginable, Liam keeps asking for his daddy. Any help would be greatly appreciated and please hug your loved ones tightly. There’s been too much loss in this world recently. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Gene and Pamela Daigle (Jason’s eldest brother and sister in law)
