My name is Diane. Pictured is my grandson Jaxsin. He is a sweet and loving 3 year old boy. Jaxsin was living with his mother Karen Spurlock and her boyfriend Shane Sasher in Boone County, Kentucky. During this time, custody was shared with his father.

I have started this Go Fund Me for Jaxsin due to a traumatic event that he has been forced to endure. Unknowingly, to the father's side of the family, he has been experiencing severe physical and mental abuse recently. This abuse culminated with him being hospitalized due to horrifically severe trauma and injuries.

On September17th Jaxsin went through severe physical abuse by Karen Spurlock and her boyfriend Shane Sasher. According to statements from the investigators; the boyfriend decided to take out his anger on the poor child and then they put him to bed with nothing more than Motrin. Apparently there were two separate beatings. When they tried to wake him the next morning; they weren't sure if he was even alive. After attempts were made to get their stories straight; they took Jaxsin to the hospital rather than call 911.

Once they reached the hospital; Jaxsin began receiving treatment. During this time, Karen and Shane claimed that he had fallen down a flight of stairs. Police were called and an investigation was started. The stories obviously didn't add up and they were eventually arrested on multiple felonies. Boone County Sheriff's Department claimed it to be the worst case of child abuse they had ever seen.

Jaxsin received multiple facial injuries. His left eye was swollen shut and he had to get stitches to close a laceration under it. He had abrasions and contusions under both eyes and to his forehead, temples, cheeks and nose. Jaxsin's father was notified soon after Jaxsin was taken to the hospital, and he was later released into his custody at the hospital.

Jaxsin is now at home with his father where he can heal and never have to experience another situation like this EVER AGAIN.

This GoFundMe is dedicated to helping pay for Jaxsin's medical bills/rehabilitation, speech therapy, court costs, (state required procedures for custody change) and a happy future for Jaxsin. Every penny that is donated will be given to Jaxsin (via his father) to help him during this difficult time. If we exceed our goal we will be making a sizable donation to Prokids a Local organization that helps children who have been abused.
