Help for Jeanne Taylor

Because of the support of those of you who have donated to help Jeanne, again I want to Thank You. The initial goal of $5000+ has been reached. Several of you have suggested that we keep the fund raiser active. Based on your personal experiences with the issues associated with guardianship , you believe additional resources will be needed. Thus, the “ Help for Jeanne” Gofundme will remain open to receive donations.

My name is Jerome ( Jerry) Gibbs. I’m Jeanne’s cousin. Jeanne is hospitalized in Las Vegas, having been diagnosed with Dementia. Jeanne is in what’s called custodial care, as she has no home, or place to go. She is incapable of caring for herself.

She needs a guardian. Unfortunately, her few existing relatives have not taken on this role.

As such, she is languishing in the hosptal with no one making decisions for her to get a safe,secure decent permanent facility to be placed in. She does not have the financial resources for private placement. She needs medicare and medicaid to provide resources for her care. This requires an advocate to meet with these agencies, be designated a guardian to ensure she gets a level of care she deserves. This will cost money for legal consultation, legal filings and a presence in vegas for several days, and transportation to Vegas. Some of you have asked what you might do to assist. I will do all that I can, but I need some help to act on these initial and immediate task. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
