Help For Jeremiah Pickering Jr.
Donation protected
I Alian Lewis am requesting financial assistance for my son Jeremiah Pickering Jr who is currently ill.
Jeremiah was born on the 14th November, 2021 and was discharged from the hospital the following day. About nine days later, Jeremiah returned to the hospital presently with difficulty breathing. Doctors Initially indicated that they would need to put him on a machine to support his respiratory function as he was in severe respiratory distress. Prior to putting him on the machine Doctors conducted a plethora of tests, observations and treatments and ultimately decided against putting him on the machine. They proceeded to treat him steroids and antibiotics even without a definitive diagnosis of what was truly wrong with my son. My son went on to spend an entire month in the hospital a while still not having a diagnosis. Sadly, I was unable to apply for his NHI as I was engulfed with my son day to day whilst he was hospitalised and couldn’t apply until he was over one month of age.
Since his release my son has continued to battle daily with his breathing to the point where I am unable to work and must be by his side 24/7. He has had many Paediatrician and other Doctor appointments both public and Private and still no diagnosis. No one can tell me what is going on with my son. Through Prayers and support from my family and friends Jeremiah continues to fight but his health is still declining as I have no answer as to why he has been in a constant state of respiratory distress for almost 2 years. At present Jeremiah stops breathing in his sleep and I then must administer a vigorous sternal rub on his back to force him to take a breath and resume breathing. Because of this I am surviving on little to no sleep. I am afraid to sleep when he does. Because of his ongoing health complications Jeremiah is failing to meet his developmental milestones. Through it all my son is still a fighter and was able to make his first steps. My beautiful boy will be 2 in November.
Unfortunately, because of Jeremiah’s health issues I was fired from my job as I had to stay home to care for him on many occasions. As I still don’t have a diagnosis for my son and no care or treatment plan in place; with my very last I made the difficult decision to migrate to the United Kingdom to save my son’s life. I am humbly asking for assistance for this frightening but NEEDED move. I am requesting donations to assist me with the medical bills so baby Jr. can get a diagnosis and necessary care that is needed. His life depends on it, this is my last hope to save my son. I thank you all so much in advance for your kind generosity.
