Help for Jim and Patty Calderone
Donation protected
For Jim and Patty Calderone, what started as a fun summer road trip, a chance to attend a family reunion out-of-state, has turned into the biggest challenge of their lives.
In August, they drove to Springfield, Illinois, to attend Patty’s family reunion. While on the trip, Patty experienced respiratory failure, was hospitalized, and placed on a ventilator and into a coma. It’s been 38 days, and the hospital team has successfully weaned Patty off the ventilator. She is now sitting up and breathing on her own. Significant victories, but still a long road to recovery. Jim has been at her side every step of the way, taking time off from work as Chippewa Valley Schools’ Cable Coordinator and living in a hotel room for more than a month. Now he is working with the health insurance company to bring Patty back home so they can have family support and be reunited with their son Jack and their beloved dog Beau.
Please help us help our friend and coworker Jim and his wife, Patty. They would never ask for help, but we are trying to alleviate some of the costs associated with Jim’s unanticipated hotel stay and any costs not covered by insurance of bringing Patty back home to Michigan.
All donations are sent to Jim Calderone and are greatly appreciated. No donation is too small. Thank you.
