Help for John Gatti Medical Expenses

Hello, my name is Robert Baxter. I am reaching out for financial and spiritual support for John Gatti. I first met him and his wife in 1992 in Houston. He and Debbie have lived in Memphis, TN for a number of years now, and John has worked full-time as part of an amazing realtor team. John has been a life long advocate for others, always encouraging everyone he meets with a genuine Italian warmth, a sharp sense of humor, deep appreciation of music, strong Christian ethic, and a love of life.

John developed symptoms about May of 2023 rather abruptly in the form of mental changes. Initial results showed tumors in the brain. He and Debbie traveled to get a definitive diagnosis and treatment plan from UT Southwestern Comprehensive Cancer Center in Dallas. They have been staying with friends.

The diagnosis has been confirmed: terminal brain cancer. Glioblastoma (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glioblastoma) is a quick brain cancer that has no known cure. His health has declined rapidly in the last few weeks, from working full-time in April to bedridden in June. He has begun a form of palliative treatment. It is a mild therapy that slows the growth process for a short time frame while the family enjoys their last moments with John and makes arrangements.

Debbie is unable to drive the last two or so years due to recent medical complications and has multiple medical challenges. They had already sold one of their two vehicles as her ability to drive again is not likely. They are now going to sell their last vehicle. John is currently under total medical care and requires full assistance in a skilled facility. His condition is not expected to improve, just hold steady during treatment.

He is being discharged from UT Southwestern Saturday, July 15th. We just found out the transfer back to Memphis is not covered by insurance. The cost is in the multiple thousands of dollars. We need your help to get him back home as a first order of priority, then help with ongoing expenses.

We are asking for financial help to get him home to Memphis and to help cover the normal expenses that occur during crisis moments such as this: mortgage, routine monthly bills, medical expenses, and most importantly the transportation to get him home from UTSW to a skilled nursing facility in Memphis on Saturday, July 15th.

I have personally battled cancer twice (2008 and 2014), and I am here to tell you that the expenses go way up and the income drops dramatically. John only has a few months to live and we are asking for generous financial assistance to help The Gatti's during this crisis moment.
