Help For John (Johnny Mac) McCambridge
Donation protected
Hello all,
My name is Chris. I'm creating this GFM with high hopes to get some help for my good friend & coworker, John McCambridge.
Last year he did what many of us do on a daily basis and stubbed his toe. He thought the toe was jammed so he didn't really think much of it. Fast forward a few weeks and he had to be admitted into the hospital due to a really bad infection that was caused by the stubbed toe. Turns out the toe was broken and got infected and almost cost him his life.
After several hospital stays and 4 operations to date, that stubbed toe resulted in the amputation of half of his left foot. He had to take a lot of time off to recover from this and between medical bills and prescriptions this has put John in a very tough spot where he had to forego his savings that was going towards a down payment on a house for him and his two kiddos.
Between the medical bills piling up, several hundreds of dollars a month in required prescriptions, and needing specific shoes so his situation does not worsen, John is in a very tight spot. This is why I wanted to create this to see if we can get him some help.
I'm not sure I've seen a better example of a great Dad. The way he is invested in everything his children do is extremely admirable. Even through these tough times he tries to find the positive in every situation. John has a heart the size of Texas and would happily give the shirt off his back to help those in need. Seeing the progress he's made over the last 4 years of knowing him has been a pleasure to watch, so to see that progress halt because of an otherwise freak accident situation, is heartbreaking.
If you are able to help, whether it's $1 or $1,000, or any amount in between, I know John will be more than appreciative and any donation will help get him back to his "new" normal, making all this adversity he has and is facing, just a little more tolerable.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this. If you're unable to donate, please share the link so we can get this out to the masses to get him the help he's desperately needing. Again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
