Help for John Pavia and his family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jen (Pavia) Keller, and my brother Ed and I are asking for your help on behalf of our brother John Pavia and his wife, Natalie (Monestime), and their three children.
This past February John was diagnosed with Stage 4 Splenic low-margin Hodgkins Lymphoma and began immunotherapy treatment. He responded very well and finished his last treatment on Oct. 17. In less than a month of being told he was in remission, symptoms started again and have aggressively worsened. He was told Monday his cancer has returned and is again at Stage 4 with lesions on his liver. He is currently waiting for the results of his PET scan and liver biopsy and is in Mass General Hospital, Boston. As we get the results of his tests we will have a better scope of the depth of this and what he will face next. He will be starting Chemotherapy and we pray he responds well once again to stop this spread.
John and Natalie are both in education, John is a beloved Vice Principal at Thurgood Marshal Middle School in Lynn, MA. Natalie is also very beloved as a school nurse at Carlton Elementary School in Salem, MA. As a result of John’s first fight with cancer and now facing round two, they are going to be up against financial burdens that we are asking for your help with. If you know John and Natalie, then you know that they are two of the most giving and caring humans. They both have long careers in education and nursing, giving back to their communities and helping students as role models both in and outside the school settings.
Now in their time of need and with their blessing (after much convincing) they are allowing us to create this GoFundMe to help them get through this battle without the added financial worries or the burden of loss of wages.
Please keep our baby brother in your prayers. This latest turn of events has been devastating for all who love him but we are staying strong to support him on this journey. We will continue to add updates as we get more information from his Oncology team on Monday but wanted to get this started as soon as possible.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Love,
Jen & Ed
