Help for Johnny and Irma
Donation protected
On the morning of December 23rd, Johnny and Irma Vitrano's house sustained a major structural fire. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the house is a near total loss. The rebuilding process will be long and arduous. Making the problem more challenging: supply chain issues abound, and with a continuing shortage of contractors still overwhelmed with repairs from Ida still plague the Northshore.
For nearly 40 years in Mandeville, and for much longer in NOLA, Johnny and Irma Vitrano have been giving of themselves to others. Whether the countless students they both taught, to Johnny's basketball teams to Irma's cheerleading teams, the number of lives touched is well into the thousands.
Teachers enter the profession to give to young people. Well, now it is our turn to give back to Johnny and Irma. And if something positive can come of this, we might actually get Johnny to retire from Fontainebleau High School! He has certainly earned the right to join Irma in retirement from the St. Tammany school system.
Insurance will certainly help, but there will be bills not covered by insurance. If you are a homeowner, think of the deductible you have on your own home. Tens of thousands are typical for a house deductible.
Food is not needed. Let's help with donations, no matter how insignificant. Give what you can, knowing that Johnny and Irma are the benefactors. Can we raise $15,000 or more by the middle of March 2022? Pass the word via your network and let's get the message out.
Thanks in advance for your help!
