Help for Junior Ukraine Hockey Players
Donation protected
HC Sdyusshor 2007 are an U16 ice hockey team from Kharkiv in the Ukraine. Days before the invasion of their home country, they began their coach journey to Debrecen in Hungary for a scheduled hockey tournament.
Due to the conflict they have been unable to return to their home country and following the tournament have been welcomed and are keeping safe in Sanok, Poland.
The team are due to travel to Slovakia in the coming days where more hockey families will be welcoming them and offering the team more opportunity of normality playing the game they all love.
The team do not have their families with them just the team coaches and staff. Their families remain in bunkers and basements in Kharkiv trying to keep as safe as possible.
We have made direct contact with the team coach, they need support with ongoing expenses and to buy the boys some more clothes whilst they are unable to return home.
Anton Rimko our U18s coach is due to fly to Slovakia on Friday and would like to fill as many suit cases as possible with items they need.
They have asked for any hockey sticks and any new sports type T-shirts, shorts, hoodies, sweaters etc.
We can’t imagine how these boys and their families must be feeling. Please help us share this fundraising effort far and wide around our UK hockey community.
Update - the funds raised are being distributed across the wider Club age groups and other junior Ukraine players arriving in Slovakia and Poland
