Mutual Aid: Help for Larissa Joanna
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
Larissa Joanna is one of the most selfless and giving individuals we've ever known. She is a strong, fierce young woman who works tirelessly for justice and making the world a better place. In addition to her incredibly inspiring activism and organizing for immigrant rights, workers’ rights and the Black lives matter movement, Larissa works in the service industry and is a single mother of two beautiful, young children.
No matter what she's going through, Larissa never asks for assistance because she is so focused on taking care of everyone else. But now she is in real need of help. She and her family have gone through tremendous obstacles this year and are struggling to make ends meet. To heighten the urgency of what they are already experiencing, Larissa has some cancerous cells that will require surgery to be removed. She has delayed the procedure because she’ll have to take at least two weeks to recover, and that's two weeks without a paycheck. In addition to the cost of the procedure, Larissa will need to help with the cost of extra childcare while she is recovering.
Please consider donating to Larissa and her family. Any donation is very much appreciated and will go a long way. Your donation will help her family in their effort to pay for medical expenses and essential needs. Larissa has shown up for our community time and again, and the hope is that the community will now show up for her. Let's work together to give Larissa and her family the peace of mind they need and deserve.
Whether you contribute a dollar, message of support or a prayer, your gift will go a long way for Larissa Joanna and her sweet family. Thank you for being there for our friend and leader of our community.
With love and gratitude,
Friends of Larissa Joanna
