Help for Lori and her son.

I am posting this message in the hope that it will help my friend Lori Ann. Lori was diagnosed with triple positive, grade 3, stage 2, invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer) in March of 2018. Since then, Lori has undergone 2 lumpectomies (which have essentially resulted in the almost complete loss of her left breast) a port installation, 4 rounds of chemotherapy, 20 days of radiation, treatment with Herceptin until October 2019 and then maintenance medication for the next 5 years. We are, of course, hopeful that the end of the treatment will bring her a full remission. However, Lori is facing some financial challenges in that her illness and pre-existing disabilities (FM and Degenerative Disc) make it impossible for her to work or attend school (which she was doing full-time prior to her diagnosis). Her treatment to this point has been debilitating with virtually every nasty side effect you can name and her original disabilities have been made worse as a result of the cancer treatments.
Lori has an 11 year old son to whom she is the sole parent, he is the joy of her life and the reason she gets out of bed in the morning. She also lives on a very active hobby farm which requires constant maintenance. Additionally, Lori lives in an area of the city which does not have access to public transportation and she is therefore required to drive great distances to treatment, appointments, to get groceries and do other chores. Given her current situation, maintaining financial stability is difficult, at best, because she is not able to attend school, the support she was receiving is gone and her expenses far outweigh her ability to pay them.
I am asking for your help on her behalf.
The goal is to remove some of the financial stress she is experiencing and allow her the chance to recuperate with some security. Lori is not someone who asks for help easily and it has taken her some time to come around to this as a possible stop gap. I ask for this help with some trepidation, I know full well that people don't have a lot to give. However, her need is becoming increasingly urgent. I would ask you, if you are able, to consider reaching out to help this single mother whose only goal is to keep her son in the only home he has ever known and to provide for him in spite of her illness.
Any funds raised will go directly to Lori for living expenses including mortgage, insurance, gas, groceries, home maintenance and other fundamentals. Anything will help.
Thank you for your time.
