Help for Lori White’s Kidney Transplant
Hello everyone, some of you who know me are aware that I am having a kidney transplant on December 16, 2020. I have been living with chronic kidney failure for over half of my life and despite this have thrived and lived a productive and good life. I am excited, nervous and extremely grateful for this new opportunity to continue to be able to live my life. I have been in pre-transplant work-up for over a year and throughout this entire pandemic.
My Donor-Richelle
I am immensely grateful to this amazing lady, my friend Richelle for being my kidney donor and the sacrifices she has gone through and will encounter to make this happen. Richelle has been rock solid throughout this entire process.
My Story
My husband and I have been facing financial difficulties for a number of years due to job losses for both of us. AND now we need additional money for extra medical expenses . I have qualified for the government drug benefit, however, we have to pay deductibles that we don’t currently have. We also have loss of income as we need to be in quarantine after the transplant as I will be on immunosuppresive medication to help not to reject my new kidney. Our financial need at this time will be $10,000.
How your donations will help me and my family
First I want to thank each and everyone who contributes financially and or shares my needs. These much needed funds will allow me to alleviate the financial stress and focus on my recovery process. My recovery is looking like possibly 4-6 months in quarantine due to both the anti-rejection meds and the current pandemic. I will keep you updated on my progress throughout my journey. Thank you for walking alongside me and your kindness.
Peace & Love,
Lori White
